Sheriff-ElectUpcoming Esmeralda County Sheriff's Office
Michael A. Tulipat was elected to serve as Sheriff of Esmeralda County beginning January 2027. This page is here to introduce the incoming administration and to reach people who want to be part of it. It is not a place to request law enforcement services.

A message from the Sheriff-Elect
Ready on day one

Esmeralda County covers more than 3,500 square miles with one of the smallest populations in the state. That combination makes response time, communication, and accountability harder here than almost anywhere else in Nevada. It also makes them more important.
I ran on a straightforward promise: a sheriff's office that answers, that documents its work, and that treats every resident the same whether they live in Goldfield, Dyer, Silver Peak, or thirty miles down a dirt road. Getting there takes preparation, not a press release on the first morning of the term.
Over the coming months I will be building a robust website to help the residents of Esmeralda County access every service easily and equally. Until the term begins, please continue to work with the county and the current administration for anything you need.
